neglected diseases such as human African trypanosomiasis
(sleeping sickness), American trypanosomiasis (Chagas
disease) and visceral leishmaniasis (kala azar). The site

Neglected Tropical Diseases Initiative
The site hosts all of the latest, most pertinent information on neglected tropical diseases (NTD). It includes NTD background, the newest news, profiles for all of the initiative countries, reports, publications, and other NTD information. Targeted diseases include onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, trachoma, lymphatic filariasis and soil transmitted helminthes. The Initiative is supported by USAID.
