International Laboratory-related Resource and Activity Directory (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
This subset of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) Division of Laboratory Systems website offers a number
of manuals and training materials on good laboratory practice
regarding a.o. HIV, tuberculosis and malaria produced by
several organizations including WHO and IUATLD. Several of
these are aimed specifically at low-income countries.

International Travel and Health
This World Health Organization site describes the vaccination
requirements of individual countries, and provides general
advice on travel health.

le Site de l'infectiologie Française (Focus on Low-Income Countries) (French only)
This site is maintained by the
Société de Pathologie Infectieuse de Langue
Française (SPILF) and the
Collège des Universitaires de Maladies
Infectieuses et Tropicales. It contains French language
information on infectious diseases (including bioterrorism):
full-text documents, epidemiological news, training
activities and conference calendar.

PubMed - Free Fulltext Articles on Infectious/Communicable Diseases
This PubMed search will identify all infectious/communicable
diseases related free fulltext ejournal articles within the
database. Within the search results, there are links to the
fulltext material. By repeating this search periodically, you
will find new fulltext articles that are added to the PubMed

This site provides reports of disease outbreaks based on data
submitted to the WHO's Global Alert and Response (GAR). The site serves as a tool to strengthen national
and international capacity in the surveillance and control of
communicable diseases.

WHO: Infectious Diseases (Focus on Low-Income Countries) (French, Spanish)
This site provides full text fact sheets on tropical
diseases, including Dengue fever, foodborne trematode
infections, malaria, and schistosomiasis and access to the
'Action Against Infection' newsletter that also is available
in pdf format in Spanish and French. The site also includes
links to related Internet resources.
