AIHA Program Toolkits (Russian)
The site contains annotated links to toolkits developed by the American International Health Alliance. Toolkit topics include Blood Safety, Healthy Communities, Nursing, Primary Healthcare Centers and Women's Wellness Centers. Primarily developed for the Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia region, the toolkits are applicable for other regions of developing countries.

HCMN is an international network of professionals
specializing in the development of health communication
materials - pamphlets, posters, video, radios, training
materials, electronic media, etc. The site includes a visual

by the Media Materials Clearinghouse of the Center for
Communication Programs, Johns Hopkins University , U.S.

Hesperian Foundation (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
The Hesperian Foundation is a non-profit publisher committed
to the promotion of the health of poor people around the
world. It publishes books and other educational resources for
community-based health care. The organization provides 1000s
of free copies per year of its titles to health workers from
developing countries on demand. It also provides a quarterly
women's health newsletter.

Media Materials Clearinghouse (MMC) (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
MMC is an international resource for samples of pamphlets,
posters, and videos designed to promote public health. Most
of the information is free and some can be obtained online.
The site includes NETLINKS, a database of organisations
related to health, population, and international development.
It is maintained by the Johns Hopkins, U.S; Population
Information Program.

Teaching-aids at Low Cost (TALC) (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
TALC, non-profit organization based in the UK, is a major
distributor of low cost health books, CD-ROMs and teaching
equipment to resource poor countries. Topics covered include
most aspects of primary health care, surgery, anaesthetics,
nutrition, and other topics at district hospital level.
The TALC website includes an outline of its programmes and
catalogues of available print and CD-ROM resources.

The Communication Initiative (LDC)(Spanish)
The Communication Initiative is a partnership of development
organisations seeking to support advances in the
effectiveness and scale of communication interventions for
positive international development. The site provides
summaries of health related communication projects and
studies. The material ranges from academic studies to grass
roots projects. It is available in English and Spanish and
includes a search engine. This is a USAID funded and
maintained project.
