AIHA Program Toolkits (Russian)
The site contains annotated links to toolkits developed by the American International Health Alliance. Toolkit topics include Blood Safety, Healthy Communities, Nursing, Primary Healthcare Centers and Women's Wellness Centers. Primarily developed for the Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia region, the toolkits are applicable for other regions of developing countries.

Arab Resource Collective (ARC) (Focus on Low-Income Countries) (Arabic)
The ARC is a non-governmental, non-profit organization
founded to produce books, teaching aids and other resources
in Arabic. The website includes a handful of full-text
publications for community workers in health, education and
development and is available in English and Arabic.

Clinical Guidelines: Diagnosis and Treatment Manual (Spanish, French) (Focus on low-income countries)
Developed by Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontierès (MSF), the Guidelines balance the need to practice conventional evidence-based medicine in contexts that require unconventional approaches. Chapters included are Respiratory Diseases, Gastrointestinal Diseases, Skin Diseases, Eye Diseases, Parasitic Diseases, Bacterial Diseases, Virus Diseases, Genito-urinary Diseases, Medical and Minor Surgical Procedures and other conditions. For each disease, the manual includes clinical features, laboratory tests and treatment. The manual is a downloadable PDF file.

Global Health Delivery Online Information (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
This online platform of 'communities' has been developed by the Global Health Delivery Project. It is a tool for health care implementers to share proven practices, connect with colleagues, and find resources they need to improve health outcomes in resource-limited settings. The communities include Adherence & Retention, Global Health Nursing and Midwifery, Global Surgery and Anesthesiology, Health IT, HIV Prevention, Malaria Treatment and Prevention, MDR-TB Treatment and TB Infection control.
Each community contains discussions, resources and email messages, and individuals
can register for multiple groups. The site also has a keyword search engine.

Health Communication Materials Network (HCMN) (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
HCMN is an international network of professionals
specializing in the development of health communication
materials - pamphlets, posters, video, radios, training
materials, electronic media, etc. The site includes a visual
database of health communication materials. It is maintained
by the Media Materials Clearinghouse of the Center for
Communication Programs, Johns Hopkins University , U.S.

Hesperian Foundation (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
The Hesperian Foundation is a non-profit publisher committed
to the promotion of the health of poor people around the
world. It publishes books and other educational resources for
community-based health care. The organization provides 1000s
of free copies per year of its titles to health workers from
developing countries on demand. It also provides a quarterly
women's health newsletter.

Inform Sourcebooks on Health (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
These Sourcebooks provide guidance about accessing free information resources on
different health subjects. Each book contains descriptions of online resources that are
relevant to a particular topic (such as reproductive health). In addition, each book contains links to the cited Internet resources. Some of the new and revised Sourcebooks include Information Resources for Health Professionals, Child Survival, Medicine and Health and Public Health. INFORM is a Sweden-based nongovernmental organization that provides onsite training in low and middle income countries.

Media Materials Clearinghouse (MMC) (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
MMC is an international resource for samples of pamphlets,
posters, and videos designed to promote public health. Most
of the information is free and some can be obtained online.
The site includes NETLINKS, a database of organisations
related to health, population, and international development.
It is maintained by the Johns Hopkins, U.S; Population
Information Program.

This PubMed search will identify all primary care free fulltext ejournal articles within the database. Within the search results, there are links to the fulltext material. By repeating this search periodically, you will find new fulltext articles that are added to the PubMed database weekly. Teaching-aids at Low Cost (TALC) (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
TALC, non-profit organization based in the UK, is a major
distributor of low cost health books, CD-ROMs and teaching
equipment to resource poor countries. Topics covered include
most aspects of primary health care, surgery, anaesthetics,
nutrition, and other topics at district hospital level.
The TALC website includes an outline of its programmes and
catalogues of available print and CD-ROM resources.

The Communication Initiative (LDC)(Spanish)
The Communication Initiative is a partnership of development
organisations seeking to support advances in the
effectiveness and scale of communication interventions for
positive international development. The site provides
summaries of health related communication projects and
studies. The material ranges from academic studies to grass
roots projects. It is available in English and Spanish and
includes a search engine. This is a USAID funded and
maintained project.

Workshop Manual on Public Access to Health Information (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
This downloadable manual summarizes the material for a two day workshop to empower people with information on how to avoid circumstances that cause health problems and to take advantage of preventable and treatment health programs. The workshop is geared toward professionals to train their colleagues to develop access to health programs, individuals studying health information, and toward the general public. It was developed by the Committee for Free Access to Information and Freedom of Expression, and International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions.
