The Micronutrient Forum is a new organization that replaces the International Vitamin A Consultative Group (IVACG) and the International Nutritional Anemia Consultative Group (INACG). It focuses on the micronutrient deficiencies of public health significance, particularly vitamin A, iron, folate, iodine, and zinc. The LINKAGES project (1996-2006) was funded by USAID and managed by the Academy for Educational Development. It provided technical information, assistance, and training to organizations with the aim of improving child survival, growth, and development, and maternal reproductive health, reducing mother-to-child HIV transmission and increasing child spacing. This site gives practical and easy-to-understand information on community nutrition and lists essential health actions for mothers and children at critical stages of their life cycles.
