Arbor Clinical Nutrition Updates are electronic nutrition
publications for health professionals. Each summarizes the
latest nutrition research on a specific topic and explains
the relevance of new findings to clinical practice. The site
gives subscription details for obtaining e-copies of these
Updates, many of which are free, and contains links to some

Although BAPEN is UK orientated, the site gives access to
several resources which could be useful in low-income
countries. These include a malnutrition screening tool
(MUST), and links to similar associations in other countries

Organization of the United Nations (FAO): Nutrition and
Consumer Protection (Focus on Low-Income
Countries) (French, Spanish)
This site gives links to FAO’s many materials and
websites on food composition, nutrient requirements,
household food security, nutritional assessment, national
policies and strategies, and nutritional information,
communication and education for communities (rural and urban)
and schools. It includes links to the organization’s
documents on food safety and quality, and to nutrition

Technical Assistance Project (FANTA) (Focus on
Low-Income Countries)
This site contains numerous PDF files about nutrition-related
topics for low income countries, particularly those related
to nutrition and HIV. The subjects include Assessment and
Monitoring, Emergency Nutrition, Food Aid, Food Security,
Household Food Consumption, Infant and Child Nutrition, and
Women’s and Adolescents’ Nutrition. The project
is managed by the Academy for

International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) (Focus on Low-Income countries) IUNS aims to promote advancement in nutrition science, research and development at the global level; to encourage collaboration among nutrition scientists and to disseminate information .. links to many useful international organizations and
