Healthwise researches and summarizes answers to clinical and
public health questions from healthcare providers, with a
particular focus on developing countries. The service focuses
on tuberculosis, malaria, HIV/AIDS, maternal health, child
survival, and reproductive health. The site contains an
archive of previous questions. It is a joint product of the
Health Communication Partnership and the INFO Project of the
Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Center for

Project
This site provides information about
telemedicine projects, with a particular focus on
telepathology and telemicroscopy. Updated in 2005, iPath is a
modulear platform for different telemedicine applications
including distance learning and real-time case discussions.
The site includes a medical forum to discuss individual
pathology cases and descriptions of several telepathology
projects in developing countries. The site uses a
downloadable open source software platform. It is maintained
by Department of Pathology, University of Basil, Switzerland.

This discussion group focuses on telemedicine in low resource
settings and aims at enabling information exchange and
improved collaboration between existing telemedicine projects
as well as to develop and communicate best practice models.
In addition to the ongoing discussion, the site contains
relevant resources and projects. This is a joint initiative
between the Queensland Centre for Online Health, the iPath
project at University of Basel and other organizations.
