This Open Educational Resources network provides a platform for health academics to share health-related educational materials and debate key issues around the provision of health education in Africa. The site contains a large collection of OER resources via a keyword search engine and also options to create and request OER resources and connect with colleagues.

Global Health e-Learning Center
Developed by the USAID Bureau of Global Health, the Global Health eLearning Center provides useful and timely continuing education for health professionals and serves as a practical resource for increasing public health knowledge. It offers technical content and certificates on key public health topics including HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, maternal and infant health, and family planning and reproductive health. Individuals are required to register for the courses (free).

ipath Project
This site provides information about
telemedicine projects, with a particular focus on
telepathology and telemicroscopy. Updated in 2005, iPath is a
modulear platform for different telemedicine applications
including distance learning and real-time case discussions.
The site includes a medical forum to discuss individual
pathology cases and descriptions of several telepathology
projects in developing countries. The site uses a
downloadable open source software platform. It is maintained
by Department of Pathology, University of Basil, Switzerland.

impact of ICT on the health sector in low-income countries.
The bibliography is organized by key topics and an A-Z title
list and also contains several search options. Developed in
2005, the bibliography continues to be updated and contains
links to the full-text documents, where available. The
bibliography is maintained by Source, an International
Information Support Center based in the UK.

Telehealth in the Developing World
This is the electronic version of a book published in 2009. It is a collection of essays on the application of telemedicine to the developing world environment. General chapters include policy, educational and clinical telemedicine and the future. Published by the Royal Society of Medicine, UK for the International Development Research Centre, it is available in print and via the Internet as an 'open book.'

Telemedicine in Low Resource Settings (Focus on Low-Income Countries)
This discussion group focuses on telemedicine in low resource settings and aims at enabling information exchange and improved collaboration between existing telemedicine projects as well as to develop and communicate best practice models. In addition to the ongoing discussion, the site contains relevant resources and projects. This is a joint initiative between the Queensland Centre for Online Health, the iPath project at University of Basel and other organizations. Registration is required but is free.
