Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS)

The Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) conducts research on methods to prevent HIV infection; trains new scientists to conduct prevention research; disseminates knowledge, research and prevention models; and collaborates with scientists from developing countries on research. This 2009 UNAIDS/WHO/WB report surveys 71 countries to find a very real danger that the AIDS treatment and prevention programs will be disrupted or curtailed as a result of the global economic crisis.
