This gateway specializes in the health information needs of the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The site links to clinical practice guidelines, medical textbooks, and other educational materials, many in Russian and other regional languages. The primary focus lies in 10 subject areas: community health, emergency medicine, health management, HIV/AIDS, infection control, maternal and child health, medical informatics, nursing, primary healthcare, and women's health. The site also features interactive tools that allow healthcare professionals to communicate and consult directly with one another.
