This atlas has been developed as a 'one-stop source of information on diabetes' for health workers in low-income countries as it discusses both the clinical and policy needs for dealing with the disease.  It is divided into sections about medical information, the global burden, the urgent need (prevention and management) and means for action (policy and health care response) plus a section on resources on the Internet.   The atlas was developed and is updated by the International Diabetes Association. http://www.diabetesatlas.org/
